I think I missed the U-pick cherry season in Brentwood, California this year. So sad. I’ll be heading out there this weekend and may find a farm or two that still has cherries, but they won’t be Brooks or Bings.
Next year, I’ll be on the ball and will remember to pick cherries as well as remind all of you to plan your pickings.
Even though cherries might be out of season, that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to pick. Strawberries, apricots, nectarines, peaches and plums should still be available for U-pick. See the Harvest 4 U map.
