Well, it’s been one year since my first post here on Dish Ditty Recipes. When I started this site, I had a goal of 200 recipes for the year. I thought that was going to be tough to do as that’s a little more than a recipe every other day. But, that number was hit several months ago, to my own surprise.
So, how many recipes did I post? I posted over 240 recipes, 20 articles, 12 little ditties, and a dozen more other articles like videos and quotes.
Wow. I can’t believe I posted that many. I have had so much fun cooking, writing and photographing these recipes for you. I think what makes this journey fun is being able to watch my son get excited about taking pictures for my site and actually learning to critique food. He isn’t afraid to hold back and tell me “I think it has too much X” or “I like it, but I think it could use Y”. Next is to get him interested in doing some of the cooking.
Are you wondering what my top recipes are? Well, by far the biggest hit it is my Vegetable Chow Mein. Totally took me by surprise. I almost didn’t even photograph it or post it since to me it is just something that I throw together quickly for my family. But, it has really taken off. I have had almost 150,000 hits on this one recipe alone, taking over 1/2 of my total traffic for the year.
Well, I think I have a lot of recipes that are even better than my Vegetable Chow Mein. So first I’ll give you the sites top 10 recipes based on traffic and then my top 10 favorites that didn’t show up on that list.

One thing I noticed, everyone loves Chinese recipes. After looking around the internet for good Chinese recipes, I’m not surprised. With 50% of the top ten being Chinese, I guess I need to get on the ball and start posting more of my stir fry recipes.

Surprise Hits
The recipes that surprised me the most on the top 10 list above was the Country Sausage Gravy and the Easy Baked Chicken. But then, there’s a couple recipes that took me by surprise that didn’t necessarily garnish the number of hits to reach the top 10, but definitely had more pins and clicks than I had expected.
Runner Up Recipes
Well, that’s quite a list. But I feel like I’m leaving out so many of my favorites. So, here’s the Runner ups to my favorites.
