Sometimes kids can surprise you, and on Mother’s Day my son made this so that I wouldn’t have to cook. Justin’s Garlic Cheese Bread is a wonderful way to make garlic bread with every day ingredients.
In a skillet, heat 1 pat of butter on medium heat until melted.
On a slice of bread, sprinkle shredded cheese, 1-2 dashes garlic powder, and add 1 pat of butter.
Add the slice of bread to the pan face down with the cheese and butter on the down side.
Push the bread down with a spatula.
Add cheese, butter, and garlic powder to the unseasoned up turned side of the bread.
Cook for a short time until cheese is melted on the underside. Then flip the bread over. Press down with spatula again.
Continue cooking/flipping as needed until the bread is lightly browned on both sides.
If making large batches, you may need to clean the pan with a moist paper towel to remove excess butter/cheese that may get burned.
Rest up, your job is done.
As my son was making this recipe, I was trying to take pictures so that I could put the recipe down on the website. He was not cooperating with my efforts, which is why some of the pictures aren’t as clear or centered as I’d like.
But it doesn’t matter, he made a delicious recipe and now it is on this site for the whole world to see that 13 year old boys can cook.
